Origins & Philosophy

Our story begins with founder Rudra Pandey, an entrepreneur from Nepal who recognized the abundance of talent in his home country and the need for innovative software solutions in the global market, bridging the two by creating Deerhold in 2018. With decades of experience working with companies globally, Rudra has always championed the merging of private sector goals with service to society.

Rudra was raised by his grandfather and found his guidance and lessons to be instrumental in his own success. A pivotal lesson he learned early on was that of Karma, the Sanskrit word for “action”. This ancient philosophy places a focus on frequent, determined, and intentional acts. Karma reminds us to turn our words and values into action and prove ourselves through our work. Deerhold is built on this philosophy.
